FWISD Cell Phone Policy Texas HB 1481

Texas House Bill 1481 – Student Cell Phone Use in Schools

Texas House Bill 1481 requires public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to adopt written policies that prohibit students from using personal communication devices (like cell phones) during the school day while on school property. House Bill 114 (HB 114) Regarding Vaping Consequences

Effective September 1st, 2023, the 88th Texas Legislative Session resulted in a new law House Bill 114 (HB 114) related to offenses involving the possession and/or use of vaping devices. These changes will impact students in grades 3 through 12. Cases will be handled on an individual basis for students in grades pre-k through 2 to ensure age-appropriate measures are taken.
