Why does attendance matter?

We all know school attendance is important, but did you know:

• Students who attend school regularly achieve at higher levels than students who do not attend school regularly.
• Some children miss 10% of the school year. That’s almost a month of instruction per year.
• A history of high absenteeism is a common trait among high school dropouts.
